Update Regarding COVID-19 Recovery from LECO Corporation

St. Joseph, Mich. LECO remains committed to ensuring the health and safety of our global workforce, while also maintaining business continuity and support for our customers throughout the pandemic.

As we continue to navigate the impact on our workforce and supply chain, we would like to provide our customers with this update.

Our facilities remain 100% operational. Visitors are welcome at our headquarters facility, and training classes have resumed. We continue to be cautious of  COVID-19 and have implemented the following guidelines until further notice.

  • Employees are asked to self-screen prior to beginning their shift each day and are advised to stay home if they are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms. Non-vaccinated employees should quarantine at home if they have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Visitors are permitted at our facilities and should self-screen at least 24 hours prior to their visit. Anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive should refrain from entering any LECO building.
  • Masks are encouraged, but not required, for all employees and visitors regardless of vaccination status.
  • Employees and visitors should maintain six feet of social distancing wherever possible.
  • Employees and visitors are reminded to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by the CDC regarding frequent hand-washing and other hygiene practices.

Supply Chain
Like many other businesses, LECO has been affected by a delay in the receipt of materials needed to manufacture our products. This is a direct result of a large number of manufacturers ceasing production for several months early on in the pandemic and increased demand as facilities resume production. This is impacting our order delivery dates, making them longer than anticipated. Current ship dates are extending about 4 to 8 weeks beyond the initial estimate time. We continue to monitor the supply chain and logistics network daily to identify potential delays, and are filling gaps in our inventory as quickly as possible.

Instrument Installation and Service

Visits from our Global Support Team, including equipment installations and serviceability calls, are continuing as permitted in accordance with local and business regulations.
